I come from a proud family that has been involved in public service for as long as I can remember. I want to work for you. We need to create more living wage jobs, improve our health, and make public safety, secure neighborhoods in particular, a top priority. With over a decade of government experience, I know what it takes to find solutions, navigate complicated governmental agencies, and get things done.  It is time for change!

CORE ISSUES FACING THE 5TH DISTRICT

PUBLIC SAFETY

For far too long, the neighborhoods of the Fifth District have been unsafe. I will work with all law enforcement to ensure departments are adequately staffed. I will make sure your hard-earned tax dollars are put to good use, especially the recently passed Measure K dollars. Our neighborhood parks need more than just a makeover, they need to be secured with Park Rangers who will protect your investment. Addiction and homelessness are issues that need serious attention, I will work with state elected officials to address these complex matters.

INFRASTRUCTURE

Neglected streets and roads require much-needed attention in District 5.

I want to represent the residents of this area and bring basic infrastructure repair to our neighborhoods. Streetlights that are off need to be turned on for the safety of the residents.  Trash and graffiti are a huge problem that needs to be addressed continuously. I will roll up my sleeves to pick up trash and clean graffiti. I do not shy away from hard work. Areas of the District need additional curbs, gutters, and sidewalks not just to beautify areas but also to provide a secure walking space for families.

HEALTH

I am proud to work as the District Director for Assemblywoman Dr. Jasmeet Bains. I want to use the experience I have acquired working closely with Dr. Bains on health issues facing the district. Fentanyl is a prominent problem in Kern County, and Dr. Bains has brought this issue to light and has provided competent solutions. If elected, I will work closely with Dr. Bains to further solutions to this horrendous addiction that has ravaged too many families and youth in the district. I have heard stories of families who have lost loved ones to this devastating disease-ADDICTION. I will also put together a Community Health Improvement Plan with input from our community to tackle the health issues facing our neighbors.
